The State Bar, created by the California Legislature in 1927, is an arm of the California Supreme Court.  The mission of the State Bar is to protect the public by licensing and regulating attorneys, enforcing the rules of professional conduct for attorneys, administering the California Bar Exam, and disciplining attorneys who violate rules and laws.
